Muthu was born and brought up in a Hindu family. His family was involved with temple worship, and did not know the Lord.

In 1991, a close friend attending Bible college told Muthu about Jesus. Muthu accepted the Lord shortly after. With a new life in Christ, he joined Bible college and received his Bachelor's of Theology. He began to get involved in ministry and sharing Jesus with others. Feeling the Lord's call for further education, he attended G.F.A.'s seminary in Kerala and earned a Master's in Divinity.

Muthu heard about YWAM and joined a DTS in Bangalore. He stayed on and honed his leadership skills and character. He later did his School of Evangelism and Pioneering (SOEP), Leadership Deveolopment School, and School of Intercession and Prayer. He has been staffing and leading our SOEP since 2001.

Kavitha was born into a Christian family. She is the fourth of six children and raised in a small town in the state of Andhra Pradesh. She followed the Lord because of her families Christian traditions.

Upon finishing her nursing program, she attended a Summer for Jesus in Hyderabad. She experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time during those few weeks. She joined Hyderabad mercy ministries and served the people in the slums for several months to follow. She joined a DTS in Kolkata in 1999, and an SOEP in Guwhati in 2000. In 2001 she came on as Chennai SOEP staff and has been a backbone to the SOEP ministry ever since.

Sam RAge: 28 Years
Home :Chennai Tamil Nadu
Joined YWAM: 1996

Sam was born and brought up in a good Christian family. His father died when he was three years so he grew up with his grandparents . As he grew up, he went away from the Lord and was involved in many bad habits with his friends.

Because of this his family rejected him during that time God touched his life through one of his friends. When he was 15 years old at the age of 16 he strongly felt from the Lord God is calling him to be at his work. Since that time he dedicated his life to serve the Lord.

Sam completed his discipleship training school in 1992 July at Bangalore. During this time God has placed a burden in his heart for ministry to Neighbors. After his DTS he worked with his Church for some time.In 1996 he joined YWAM to work with Nieghbors. After specialized training in the Neighbors SIS school held in Pune, he is back in Chennai and now he is building friendships and working towards building up home fellowship groups amongst those in the Neighbor community (neighborhoods of Chennai).
