Chennai Transformation Network recently began to meet in January 2005 to once again consider how the Whole Church can bring the Whole gospel to the Whole City so there is measurable transformation that takes place. From January to May this network of professionals, laity, pastors, and leaders met to discuss what is transformation and what would be the best way to move forward. In June 2005 a half day was set aside where speakers presented papers on various topics to help shape an overview of what transformation would look like. Papers were presented on Saturation Church planting, Social Action, Demographics of Chennai City, Mobilization of Laity, Prayer, and Models from other cities.
Chennai Transformation Network has been listed here as a ministry of YWAM Chennai, which is not strictly true since it is an initiative that involves the entire Body of Christ. However, YWAM has been involved in this network since the beginning.

Definition of transformation
Transformation is a process by which the whole church takes the whole gospel to the whole city so that the power, the peace and the presence of God is experienced by every individual who is reconciled to God, to one another and to the environment that brings economic sufficiency, social peace, public justice and national righteousness. | |
