Ian was born to a Buddhist father and a Christian mother, second among three children who all grew up going to Sunday School. He gave his heart to the Lord when he was 9 years old, but didn't follow him in Lordship until the age of 21. He gave up the beginnings of a hotel career to join YWAM in 1983 in response to a missions call.
He has completed a Discipleship Training School, School of Evangelism, Leadership Training School and the Principles in Child and Youth Ministries School with YWAM. In between schools he has served on an evangelism team, staffed and later led DTS and SOE, served in administration, led a Centre and served on the Indian National Council for a number of years. Ian and Sandra were married on December 10, 1988.
Sandra was fifth among six children, comes from a ancestral worship background. She gave her heart to the Lord when she was 7 years old, having attended Sunday School most of her childhood. She completed DTS in January, 1986 and then resumed her teaching job at her church school. She had been a primary school teacher for 6 years and concurrently Sunday School Superintendent for 12 before marrying and joining YWAM full time.
Present Ministry Sandra has a heart for children's ministry and is the principal of the YWAM school - Asha Kendra Christian School. Their heart, as is the vision of the school, is to influence this nation in the area of education, family and raising children, discipling kids who will then grow up to influence their areas of expertise with Godly principleIan has been recently appointed the City Co-ordinator in the beginning of 2007. He has gradually withdrawn from the leadership of Asha Kendra and is focusing on the YWAM Chennai as a whole. | |

Richie was raised in a Catholic home with 3 brothers and 1 sister. At the age of 21 he accepted the Lord at a youth camp. In 1985 he joined YWAM. He and Cheryl were married in 1986. From 1985 to 1989 he staffed and led 14 Discipleship Training Schools (DTSs).
Cheryl comes from an Assembly of God background. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She accepted Christ at the age of 10. For YWAM she has worked as a secratary and teaching at the Asha Kendra School.
Current ministry The Kleinmans direct the English DTS, Ministry Ledership Development School, and School of Worship at the Beach Centre in Kottivakam, Chennai.

Wilson was born and brought up in a Christian family. His parents raised him in godly ways but he spent his youthful life away from the Lord. In the year 1989 he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and he dedicated his life for the ministry soon after his schooling. He joined OM in the year of 1990. He did his leadership school and worked along with their training team. In 1995 he did his DTS in YWAM Chennai and worked as a staff in the National office till October 1996.
Current Ministry: He pioneered and now directs the YWAM Chennai AIDS ministry. This is a ministry among HIV positive people and their families. God has given him a burden to reach them with His compassion. Wilson married Elizabeth in 1999 and they have two sons, Joseph and Joel.
