Mission Statement of YWAM Chennai
The purpose of YWAM Chennai is to love God first and then express His heart for the city by:
- Reaching out in development and relief to the poor, oppressed, neglected and abandoned in our city.
- Reaching the unreached through strategic methods of evangelism, prayer movements and church planting.
- Networking with and serving the local church to complete the task in our city.
- Entering every aspect of society to see God's Kingdom established.
- Training, mobilizing and releasing leaders/workers to fulfill their destinies in our city and the nations beyond.
Foundational Values of YWAM Chennai
- Penetration of every sector of the city with the Gospel and reaching every sphere of infuence in the city with the Gospel.
- Mobilizing, discipling, equipping and mentoring people towards fulfilling God's call in their lives.
- Networking and partnering with local churches and other organization and YWAM ministries.
- To facilitate a diversity of ministries.
- To be Kingdom minded not YWAM minded, seeking to serve the Kingdom in the local church in their felt needs.
- Building unity with and among local churches in the city.
- Maintaining integrity in our walk with God, our relationship with each other, and our commitment to the ministry.
- Seeking always to pioneer, rather than duplicate, new ministries.
- To constantly work on personal development.
- Endeavoring to be the best in what we do.
